At least the ones made today. The ones I played back in the 80’s and early 90’s were all mechanical and the only thing that could be adjusted was the grip strength, so it was fairly easy to win. Would often go home from the convenience store with a paper sack full of toys, and on one occasion cleaned out the machine. It got to the point the amusement company got rid of it, only to bring one back after people signed a petition.

Done flew the coop
One of those infernal machines cheated me multiple times…  
I happened to be in arcade with my younger cousin at the time, so I made a deal with my little minion…  
I hunted down someone in management and complained that my cousin had been trying really hard to get a stuffed animal & that the machine was beginning to ruin my day…
 
I left that arcade with that stuffed animal and my word to conquer any video games that intimidated my young apprentice. ^^
