okay, so… I figured out the levels aren’t strength… well, it’s based on an algorithm… so level 3 always seems to be strongest the times I’ve done it but level 0, 1 and 2 can switch around… sometimes even in the same image/file one part can be stronger while one part is weaker

It’s like 1.5 seconds or so per frame for the faster method and 5 seconds for the better method.. for better method it would take like four days and faster method it would still take over a day
 
But I’d also have to extract frames first and.. well, sometime I’ll get to it… I mean there’s programs to extract all the frames with a click (like ffmpeg) and you can do batch processing but.. yeah

Yeah.. it’s probably not even 4k of sharpness at 6k res but eh..  
Well.. counting the less vertical res
 
If I did max denoise it brought a lot more sharpness (even the smallest amount of jpg makes it not upscale NEARLY as well.. and this was even screenshotted from the leak not recompressed) but it blurred the clouds and removed the darker parts on the ground and messed with a lot of other stuff.. so I did one strength lower

For some reason it goes level 2,0,1,3 in terms of weakest to strongest denoise.. makes no sense at all I’m pretty sure it’s a mess-up
 
I find level 0 to be best for iTunes screenshots even though there’s a lot of jpg.. level 1 actually kinda makes things worse and for the movie either level 0 or 1.. the pirates I did level 1 but the examples I just linked I did level 0 cause I think the glowiness was actually causing it to blur more  
I use waifu2x-caffe (windows-port) the denoise tool is EXTREMELY powerful and awesome.. with level 3 even with extremely jpged images it pretty much COMPLETELY removes it and without butchering the image.. but it can remove some lines and stuff and blur other stuff so I usually do one strength lower

This is glorious. Wish the entire movie could be upscaled like this
