We’ve been having a lot of friendships breaking up lately it seems. Whether it’s because of the divisive last 2-7 seasons or not I wouldn’t know. I won’t name names, but recently I ran into one that ended up completely killing the entire existence of an OC I was hoping would have gotten more art.
 
Someone had a few choice words to say in response to that post:  
Ew, that person was a gross, manipulative jerk. Ship whatever you want, stop whenever you want, don’t worry about detractors. Most of us were sad to hear about it because it was so cute, but you don’t owe anyone anything. Looking forward to whatever you do next!
 
And I’m not sure how much he’s drawn her since then. At least three times on his Tumblr but I’m not really keeping count, most recent was a few days ago. Incidentally, this is the last surviving connection between the two besides what you linked.

I much prefer the newer style as it feels like there’s more care and quality, faces look fuller and better shaped, and it feels more recognisable.

I think I’ve seen so many people emulate old Shino style now that I no longer associate it with him. I much prefer the newer style as it feels like there’s more care and quality, faces look fuller and better shaped, and it feels more recognisable.

No you don’t see that. Whichever image people prefer, everyone is saying Shino’s a good artist. This comment section is drama free. You coulda read the messages first before hoping you were calling something out.

The new one wins on color and shading but the old one style is good too… They are both good tbh. Maybe the biggest win for the old one is Apogee, she looks better, more cute, her face structure is easier to look at and her size is more correct.

it’s really only the new muzzle that kills it for me, the mare muzzle seems too long and it kinda has a little less detail
