.45 ACP is a subsonic round which lets you get away with a much smaller suppressor than you would with a 9mm. However a properly size suppressor for a full auto Vector would be about 30% longer and 200% wider than in the pic. The suppressor shown would be more appropriate on a .22 with it’s barrel to chamber ratio.
Sounds logical to me.
.45acp tends to have a lower operating pressure than most other calibers,
not to mention most users would be limited to a semi-auto model anyways. ^^
Just one of those countless “Would this actually work?” thoughts. lol
Not an expert, but I’d expect it depends on the size of the suppressor (bigger = more space for the propellant gases to expand into = lower pressure inside the suppressor = less structural stress) or how fast the “smoke” can clear out between shots…
The one pictured does look a tad small for a .45, at least to my untrained eye.
This one looks about right.
Are there suppressors that can reliably deal with such a high cyclic rate without exploding?
