Might not be with new characters according to Hasbro’s focus. They really like the Mane 6 and 7. Plus, the property that already transferred to Boulder, Rescue Bots, kept all the characters and simply replaced the voice actors.  
But I do think it will be a new series. It would be weird for Boulder to pick up a series in it’s third season, and Better Together is the 4th EQG series anyway.

I dont know honestly. Depends on the overall direction for G4 going forward. So far, we aren’t seeing much Princess related stuff, so we may not see her.  
As for the Tramsformers crossover…As much as I might say no, Boulder is now the producing company for both Rescue Bot Academy, Cyberverse, and MLP. A crossover is not actually out of the realm of possibilities!!

I have no doubt Boulder Media will produce Equestria Girls. I just feel it’s more likely it’ll be a new series with new characters rather than a continuation of DHX’s.

This info was debunked by a guy who had his license to report on Hasbro properties revoked. Not saying this original S3 thing is legit, but the guy who debunked it may not be as reputable as we thought.  
The bigger picture though, is that Boulder confirmed EQG is theirs now. They just aren’t working on it at the moment. Whether they mean a Season 3 of Better Together, or the beginning of a fifth EQG redesign remains to be seen.  
But yes, EQG is happening.

The kind of hard reboot most of us fear and or expect isnt really likely. LPS, to use an earlier example, was inactive as a franchise for several years. It needed a hard reboot.  
Thanks to FiM, G4 is still unbelievably profitable, and active. A hard reboot would cut off those profits in the hopes that you might make similar profits. That is a terrible business strategy.  
What we are probably looking at is a soft reboot. It gives the franchise a burst of new life, keeps the profits stable. The films and specials then cause an increase in profits around crucial times like summer and Christmas.

Not what they said. EQG is still a thing, they just do not have the staff to do everything. They are already doing the 2021 movie, Cyberverse, LPS, Rainbow Roadtrip, and they only have 150 total staff. So, EQG is still a big deal.

Well, so far, Boulder seems very excited just to continue with G4. Plus, Hasbro seems unwilling to invest in expensive properties, like movies with celebrity voice talent, full reboots, etc… their business model these days is to create low cost, high quality animation to drive toy sales. Since G4 has not lost hardly any momentum as a toy brand, Hasbro probably won’t be replacing it any time soon.

They really are. I loved their Halloween pictures from a few years back, plus that event a few weeks ago where they trained a bunch of little kids to make their own animation.  
But I will say that with no follow up information on G5 outside of leaks from 2 years ago that are already showing inaccuracies, going off of info we do have, G5 is dead.  
So far, G4 is carrying on all the way through 2020, and the movie is still not even hinted to be a reboot. Without staff, trademarks, concept art, or anything else, G5 is either just a concept explored by Hasbro, or more likely, a fabrication of the leaks…

Boulder Media is an amazing studio, right? I’m not saying it sarcastically, ‘cause I really loved the dog-friendly day they did recently. I’m more of a cat person, but it’s a good thing Boulder seems to have a nice working environment.

I think if Boulder Media was going to produce Equestria Girls, it would be a new series with a new cast of characters instead of a continuation of DHX’s. Similar scenario to Littlest Pet Shop A World of Our Own.

Boulder broke their NDA to say that while they are not working on it at this very moment, they will be in the future, and they apologized for not being able to be more specific.  
Then I think Hasbro made them delete that comment, since it broke their NDA.  
I love Boulder more and more every day lol.

So, any further conformation about EG season 3?
