Quirks: She’s constantly looking to help other ponies, even if she doesn’t have the answer herself. Her voice tends to fade out when she’s talking to ponies she’s uncomfortable with. Tends to stutter. Trips over her words and gets them mixed up. Flinches at loud nosies. Sometimes embarrasses herself by acting like she knows the answer to something when she doesn’t, just cause she’s trying to help someone out.
Short Background: ArtfulDreams was the result of her mother being raped. Everypony just thought she looked different from the rest of her family because her mother, GemCrafter, wasn’t found fertile until a long time after the incident, for some reason. ArtfulDreams was constantly made fun of by her younger siblings and her older brother for looking different from them, but her older sister, PaintedWings, always stuck up for her.
One day, the teasing got so bad, that ArtfulDreams confronted her mother about how her siblings were making fun of her, and asked her if she really was a ‘freak’ and an ‘alien’. Her mother told her that was perfect just the way she was, and to not let them bother her. But ArtfulDreams was still bothered by their teasing.
Finally her mother decided to make a doctor’s appointment to prove to ArtfulDreams that she was normal, because ArtfulDreams kept telling her she wasn’t. But the DNA results weren’t what they thought they would be. Her ‘father’s’ DNA didn’t match her legal father’s DNA.
Her mother remembered the rape incident, and was horrified. ArtfulDreams, feeling like she was the reason her mother was horrified and now suffering from depression, ran away from home.
During her travels she met a completely grey, dull, depressed, and boring stallion. ArtfulDreams tried to make him laugh by painting a small dot of color on his nose. When the color didn’t come off of his nose, she was so sorry and upset. But the stallion asked if she could paint the rest of him. He thought that might’ve been able to ‘cure’ him of his depression. So ArtfulDreams painted him in bright, and beautiful colors, which suddenly made the stallion so over-joyed, he began jumping around and singing loudly (that’s how he got his cutie mark in singing, finally). And that’s when ArtfulDreams got her cutie mark. She could ‘reset the sadness’ in ponies’ lives by her paintings coming to life and making them smile (This is how she got her theme song of ‘Reset’ by: Ayaka Hirahara).

Things to be remembered: BISEXUAL. PANSEXUAL. She’s EXTREMELY sensitive about these topics, and will get very emotional if these topics are brought up or if she’s made fun of for them.

Her earring is an Emerald Tassel, which are said to bring good luck to the wearer.
Her necklace is a Glass Bead, with eight Topaz orbs. The Glass Bead was a gift given to her from her older sister, PaintedWings. Each orb has a different Japanese Symbol on it. On the right side of Glass Bead are the symbols for ‘love’, ‘hope’, ‘justice’ and ‘dreams’. The other side has ‘magic’, ‘loyalty’, ‘happiness’, and ‘good fortune’. Topazes are supposed to help increase the wearer’s love and fortune.
The bracelet she’s wearing is a piece of volcanic rock with wave-like designs craved into it. It’s tied off with some hemp.
She got this bracelet from her childhood best friend, Coconut, when he went back to his home town on a tropical island, for vacation.
