“Oh, tell me more.” Sour Sweet asked, glancing back sinisterly towards Sugarcoat and Sunny Flare as she awaited to hear what Rarity has planned.
Face lighting up into a jolly grin, Rarity began to explain. “Well, each member of the Rainbooms is going to dance in a different style, like flamenco, hip-hop, or street ballet.” As she demonstrated her own variation of each dance move, the Crystal Prep girls took a step back, cautiously watching Rarity’s enormous body bounce heavily with each step. “And we’ll wear costumes to match each genre, designed by yours truly, of course,” she giggled to herself as she pressed a chubby hand into her soft chest.
“That sounds like a very good concept,” Sugarcoat spoke up in her monotoned voice, peering over her glasses at the heavy-set girl.
Sour rolled her eyes, “Yeah, I guess it’s okay,” she before muttering, “If you wanted to look like a bunch parade floats.”
“Thanks!” Rarity smiled. Although she could tell that the girls were rather put off by her immense bulk, she didn’t mind. She did still want to keep a positive relationship with them after what happened during the Friendship Games, even if she was a few hundred pounds heavier now. “So, what’s your concept?”
“Nothing. We don’t have one yet,” Sugarcoat stated flatly with no hesitance.
“What she means is…” Sour butted in quickly, “…it’s a surprise. But, it’s amazing! It’s so original!”
“Oh, well, I can’t wait to see it. Good luck!” Rarity waved as she carried on with her day, taking along her Double-Chocolate Mint Shake.
“You too!” Sour waved back with the fakest of all smiles plastered on. As soon as Rarity had waddled far enough away, she turned back to her friends with smug look on her face. “If she thinks she gonna weigh down the competition and actually win this thing, she’s got another thing coming.”
“It’s only been like a couple of months since we last seen her, and now she’s as big as a whale,” Sugarcoat replied. “There is no way she’s winning.”
“Seriously, what has she been eating?” Sunny Flare scoffed, “I bet she’s gonna go and raid the whole food court now.”
“If she can even walk herself over there,” Sour snickered. “Did anyone feel the ground shake when she danced around like that? That girl must weigh a ton!”
“Uh… yeah,” Lemon Zest chuckled nervously as she continued watching Rarity’s massive rump in the distance. Even though she was already several stores away, she wasn’t exactly hard to miss. “Can you imagine if she got any fatter?”
“Let’s go. I suddenly have a great idea for a music video.” Three of the girls begin to walk off until Sour stopped in her tracks. She looked back and saw that Lemon was still staring off in the opposite direction. “Uh… hello? Are you coming?”
Lemon shook her head and snapped out of her trance-like state. “What? Oh, right!” She turns back to follow the others.
