Too many times have I seen some strange looking legs on ponies, so I thought some of you out there might find this helpful.

normally ungulates cannot articulate their shoulders, so the hoof to heart pose is part of that anatomy cheating. the extra twistiness in the foreleg as well, since quadrupeds typically need a fused radius and ulna. those restrictions are all for structural support though, and doesn’t look weird if a pony’s not currently walking on their front legs. so anatomical cheating should still be based on some sort of anatomy, if possible. it’s not always possible.
