The subject wasn’t cats smell clean, but yeah I have two cats and both smell clean even while wet. I believe it has something to do with their special course tongue that cleans a lot of dirt and liquid away.

Wet cat doesn’t smell bad, though. I have a cat and he always smells clean, no matter what. Cats are usually very clean, so it’s not weird that they smell clean. I’m not infected by that parasite named Toxoplasmosis Gondi, or whatever it’s called, that’s not why I like the way my cat smells.
