“And done!” Applejack said proudly as she struck her shovel into the ground, breathing in the fresh smell of dirt and sweat. Just the way she liked it. “Nothing like some good old-fashioned housework to wake a big girl up.”

It’s been almost three months since her weight peaked at over 900 pounds. Despite her tremendous size, she was eager to get back to working again, even if it meant that her massive body would only be useful for crushing apple into cider. Thankfully, over the course of the summer, she had managed to shed off quite a bit of that excess bulk. As miraculous as that seemed, it wasn’t too surprising considering how quickly she gained that weight in the first place.

While she took some time to bask in the morning sun and admire her job well done, her moment of peace was soon interrupted by the sounds of heavy breathing and loud footsteps. Applejack looked up to find Rainbow Dash jogging her way into the backyard, stopping just in front her to catch her breath. “He- He- Hey,” Rainbow panted, clearly going through some changes of her own.

Though nowhere near as large as some of her friends, there’s no denying that Rainbow has had her fill lately. Her stomach especially seemed a lot more bloated than usual. But that was the least of her worries at the moment. “Do… do you have any cider? Or… or soda?”

“Uh… you sure I can’t offer you some water?” AJ asked. “Judgin’ from that belly of yours, you ought to start cuttin’ back on anythin’ sugary.”

“I am.” Rainbow retorted, still breathing heavily. “Just had a few breakfast burgers and hashbrowns.”

Applejack simply smiled as she rolled her eyes back.
