What you say is very true, and that’s why I started commissioning art of her ^^ With the help of the artists I commission I’ll do my best to ensure that Sea Swirl gets the love she deserves ^^ (on a side note Swirly’s best friend Sassaflash gets even less art than she does)

So I downloaded a free trial of Adobe Illustrator and started tracing screencaps. Then I got tired of screencaps, so I got a sketchbook, started making crappy sketches and vectoring them. Then I just started working on sketches as their own images.
 
Just like me! (and everyone else) But using inkscape. Yet I’m kinda bored tracing screencap, so I sometimes sketch them first.

On an unrelated note if you don’t mind my asking, where/how did you get your start as an artist?
 
This is probably not gonna be an overly satisfying answer, but basically I was just bored one day and had no idea what else to do, so I downloaded a free trial of Adobe Illustrator and started tracing screencaps. Then I got tired of screencaps, so I got a sketchbook, started making crappy sketches and vectoring them. Then I just started working on sketches as their own images.
