Is it possible to like both rainbow horse and butterfly horse? Because I’m beginning to think it isn’t.
 
Also Trade Ya was seasons ago, I don’t think Rainbow Dash would do that anymore. It’s also a very flawed episode where the Rainbow Dash who acts selflessly isn’t seen for an episode. And that’s only because she didn’t realize that she was literally trading her friend away. Dashie isn’t the type of pony to “Read between the lines.”

Trade Ya! is overblown. Fluttershy agreed to trade her services for compensation in the form of a gift for Rainbow Dash. (Which is super sweet and straight out of Big Fish to me)
 
My main problem with it is that she doesn’t seem to consider how this will affect her present responsibilities. Trade Ya!‘s third act is kinda rushed.
 
Still, she’s become bolder since then, so maybe Rainbow made the mistake of agreeing to let her vent some frustration?
 
She probably has a lot of frustration.

She’d never have been able to lay a hoof on her, had Rainbow Dash not taken up drinking Bone Hurting Juice the month before. There’s a lesson here, kids.
