I know right. What a waste! It really struck me at like EVERY scene where he uses his powers. And that death scene? Super nice animation super lame death. Bleh Hasbro.

I couldn’t give two s**ts about whether it violates IDW comics “canon”, I’m still not sure why those things exist in the first place.
 
My annoyance comes from how they blatantly contradicted his portrayal from his first show appearance. He didn’t have much time on screen, but when he was on screen he was always this imposing, sinister figure that would just let his intimidation factor speak for itself. We also got a hint of what he was like from all the traps that where protecting the Crystal Heart, which suggested he was a ruthless manipulator who delighted in playing mind games and exploiting his enemy’s worst fears. All in all a very threatening villain, possibly the darkest in MLP. Certainly the darkest out of the Gen 4 line up.
 
Season 9 Sombra is practically a different character entirely. They took that imposing villain and made him into a bad gay joke. That’s what they did with that. Wonderful. |:P
 
“Sombra barely had four lines” they said. Yeah well now that we’ve heard chatty Sombra, I preferred it when he was quiet.

Agreed. I need to fact check this with the comics. Ok, the show has gone against existing cannon in itself before and it was ok, but they’ve never broken an attempt to combine the comics and the show together. If anyone remembers that sombra is good in the comics and game at least now and is on the story board or has connections, please let the Writers know that the comics can never be show cannon now because sombra is pretty much dead. hope will never leave the umbrum crystal and tell sombra 1. He’s not a villain 2. (In my fanfic) that she ❤️S him 3. (back to reality) never tell sombra what she saw in the crystal heart.(her as a princess)
