The whole Sombra taking Flurry hostage scene was wasted opportunity. We could have seen Cadance go mama bear on Sombra

He was without a body back then, plus Grogar basically put him in the Crystal Empire so he didn’t even have to enter it conventionally. By the time Cadance even knew Sombra had invaded he already had Flurry Heart and a bunch of citizens hostage.

I’m not saying that her holding him off was never shown, but the amount of time was very much implied. And that also not count the fact that Shining can do the same kind of spell so since this extra time is never shown it make it too easy think about and question in many different ways like why didn’t he take over every once a while. So either we assume that time she was badass but also very stupid or that Shining exaggerating things in the moment since he himself was in great confusion due to being curse shortly before revealing these details of her suppose badassery.
 
Either way, since it is never shown most could care less, because viewers only care about parts they can see. That why there is such as ‘Shown Don’t Tell’.
 
Example: I could tell I’m 50 billion-year-old lion who seen the creation and death of many universes, but the only way you would believe such a strange tale is if you were there to see it.

They might not have shown every second of it, but it was definitely shown on-screen that he had to put some actual yaying effort into getting in.

I gotta disagree. Last time she single-handedly (single-hoofedly?) kept Sombra out for days on end, and that’s before the Crystal Heart got found. This time he just waltzes in like he owns the damn place. What the hell happened out there today, Cadenza?

And I was really hoping we’d see Cadence do something. Hopefully she’ll have a rematch with Chrysalis.
