I just use Handbrake with VP9 and Vorbis/Opus audio (VP8 appears to fuck with colors with Handbrake) and then use MKVmerge to make sure it converts to webm properly
Handbrake is far from optimal but I don’t see any issue with it aside from VP8 fucking up colors
I thought about that, but I couldn’t recommend a way to do that simply or easily off the top of my head.
I’ve used RWP for years though, so that one has my quick recommendation.
Or could just do webm
But I guess with this short of an animation it doesn’t really matter
APNG supports 24-bit color so definitely no issue there

If it’s not a file output option for your usual software, I can recommend RealWorld Paint for doing so. When you start it up, go to the Create tab on the left, choose a way to start, and in the bottom-right there’s a button with an arrow on its side. Click the arrow and select ‘Create as “Animated Image”’. Then, when you save the file, you can select PNG as the type, which will save the work as an Animated PNG.
How does one do that?
