That’s pretty sad you couldn’t even tell that red dawn acting was bad, I’m not even that big of a film fan but at least I can tell simple flaws in acting and plot lines. The story was incredibly unrealistic, it took itself way too seriously, the plot holes very big (hurr russia has something to do with this oh no we won’t bother explaining anything further), absolutely pointless romance, teenage kids with one week of prep from some guy that got drafted for a bit could apparently kill off soldiers that dedicated their life to their country’s military, and the choice of actors was really bad. Thor and Josh peck are brothers ooooOOoooO dynamic! and no the original wasn’t any better.

I found it to be ok. Yes some parts didn’t make sense but it still was somewhat enjoyable for it’s cheesiness.

@Background Pony: Because, despite the fact it’s an extremely improbable story, I enjoyed it as a somewhat campy action flick. It gave me what I wanted, people killing North Koreans. I also found the acting to be pretty well done for the most part, and overall I found it to be a pretty enjoyable movie.
 
But my favorite movie is Independence Day, so what do I know? Shrug
