There is little doubt that Cadance is a worthy champion for love, but her adversary is fierce and unyielding, with a cunning that could win her this battle. Further, Chrysalis’ affinity with lust and nature as a changeling grants her a unique advantage. Her armour is so designed that any observer may become a veritable font of power for her, which could allow her to overpower the little princess. Cadance’s love, by contrast, does not develop to anywhere near the same strength with so little active effort.
 
Her present position also seems less than ideal. If Chrysalis succeeds in disarming her, she’ll be almost certain to secure her conquest. The princess will surely be left on the defensive by such a Manoeuvre, but that will never last against her opponent’s sheer ferocity. The second she loses that sword is the second Chrysalis has won and that expression of hers does not inspire confidence in the strength of her grip. As far as I can see, this is leading to a well deserved victory for the queen of lust.
