At the end of the last episode as part of a song, Sunset Shimmer was a small still cameo so she finally made it.
I think he is talking about how in the special, Spike didn’t have wings. So it was a prequel to season 8.
Spike isn’t in this image. Why are you posting about spike not having wings on characters that don’t even have him in it all over the site? … You know what, don’t answer that. Just stop.

Years later, the closest thing we had to a follow up was the two Twilights acknowledging they met before in this special. Everything was left offscreen.
Maybe we will get a future episode or two dealing with the aftermath of this scene.
