Here we have ourselves another commission ordered up by . This time I was instructed to have shadow and twilight holding each other’s shoulders while moving through a specific locale. That kind of pose work can be pretty difficult to pull off between a hedgehog and a pony, but I think I did a good enough job here. The colors play pretty nicely together in this image. Nothing is overly garish, but you still get a good amount of the lighter spectrum. Everything just seems kind of smooth, like it all flows together. I’m pretty proud of that considering that this is a crossover image, and the two central characters are in two completely different styles. Getting them to mesh is not always the simplest task on the good ol’ chore list. Long story short, it looks like I pulled this one off, but hey, what else is new? I noted your old sarcasm, and I forgive you. Used to be belligerent in my youth. Sometimes I miss those days where I can stamp out any gossip and literal whispers behind my back. It’s easier to be the “tough guy” confronting people in-person before the internet. It’s fruitless now when dealing with online abuse.
As stated in the Discussion, I used to believe shipping was a waste of time. And I still do when it comes to fandoms outside my otp. Yeah, the whole bipedal and quadrupedal is a bother. Some can settle by having both species being ponies, mobians (though term no longer used), or humans. Gotta love gijinka (擬人化. Japanese for humanized versions; humanization). The Squall jacket really fits Shadow. =D
I actually already did discuss with the admins. The DNP rule applies when artists stated shared copyright with the commissioner in their commission rules. idolnya, whom I frequently asked for example.
I see, I admit I sometimes leave jokes & riffs on some images, but I never really try to troll, or insult anyone, I just joke around sometimes, and try to do it innocently/harmlessly. So I apologize if I ever said anything that bugged you. (Or anyone else.)
Overall, you have to understand, ‘shipping Sonic characters with a Pony is going to be met with confusion, or ire from both bronies & Sonic fans. (Or even folks whom are both.) While I feel the image above is actually pretty well-drawn, and nice (the horn ring is kinda cute) even I admit ShadTwi’ is a bit of a random pairing, and it’s understandable why some find ‘shipping an anthropomorphic hedgehog with a quadruped pony would look a li’l off.
I have nothing against these crossover pairings, (and given all the strange or even creepy pairings people love here, this is nothing) but overall I kinda prefer “Sonic X Pony” pics better when the pony is depicted more anthropomorphic & bipedal like the Sonic character is.
It’s probably best to ignore the downvotes, and not let them get to you. I understand it’s hard, but I guess people online tend to forget there’s other people on the other screen who can have their feelings hurt.
Unfortunately, I don’t think being the commissioner, and sharing “copyright” is enough, as you have to be the artist to “DNP,” but you can try to discuss it with the admins if you want, if it bothers you that badly.

I should’ve said “they” if I’m being technically correct. BroDogz is a joint account of twin brothers. Each one taking turns when responding to comments and taking commissions. One of them did say on how it would unprofessional for the account if they were to exclude a website like Derpibooru. Other artists are understanding when taking my request for DNP. Some of which don’t know the website, nor are they familiar or fans of MLP. At the very least when I’m in Derpibooru, I can disclose some information and reasoning for past commissions to clear up any confusions.
The downvote option is an eyesore. I don’t need to know or see that 10, 50, 100, and 300+ people on another website disliking an image I paid for. Some comments are too trollish from plain mean to the level of 4chan. Commissions posted in my DA gallery have with shared copyright with the original artist. Thereby allowing me to DNP under Commissioners’ rights. I rather regulate comments in my DA account at my discretion. It is also easier to tell off trolls to scram and I don’t have to be polite about it.
It’s his choice, but as I said at least these aren’t getting too many negative comments, and such. Don’t take it too personally.
