another shot at vectoring
I tried to shade her mane, but I could not get it too look right, so just left out the shading.

This is adorable
Assuming you’re using Inkscape
File>document properties>custom size and change units to px and set the resolution you want
Now that should be the resolution of the PNG picture that will be made, I believe
There’s another way to do it where it keeps the aspect ratio automatically but I can’t remember…
Oh… you can expand the image first and then click “resize page to content” and then “resize page to drawing or selection”
hold ctrl, click and drag to resize and keep aspect ratio
Edited
like me they probably didn’t know that was possible.
when an svg is displayed it shows up at those large resolutions?
yeah
If you upload SVG directly it’ll make a preview.. I think it’s based on a 72 DPI resolution page setting in Inkscape.. which can be changed
I’m actually not sure why more people don’t upload them directly and instead like link the PNG and then link to Deviantart and put the svg on sta.sh
makes no sense
I just exported it as a PNG from inkscape at that res.
but looking at the vector tag i guess its possible to upload the SVG directly. Ill keep that in mind for the future
but that’s just my opinion
I thought those were feathers.
