There are different endings depending on which missions you started in New York. If you select the Grand Central Station mission, the penultimate mission is The Right of Passage and the game ends with John Tanner driving off into the sunset. If you select the Luther’s Heap of Junk mission, Tanner gains a lady friend who he must rescue in the penultimate mission. She rides off into the sunset with him. The PC version adds an additional cutscene revealing they didn’t leave empty-handed.

There were multiple endings? I played it on the PS1. I drove the President to safety, I was offered my badge back, but I refused it and drove off.
Which ending did you get?
I remember the day I finally beat that after about a week of trying. What a relief. Probably the hardest level of any game I’ve ever played that I actually beat.
@G0R0
Same. I remember being excited for this pile and finally getting to rent it and not being able to complete this. I quit out of disgust and frustration and never played another Driver game since that one time.
Same with me
How about “Rite of Passage”?
You know, there is a tutorial demo showing exactly what you’re supposed to do. It’s accessible from the main menu. You’ll find it under Training.
You forgot Zero’s RC red baron.
Damn little shit run out of fuel every time I destroyed all the vans.
Well… GTA have plenty.
Vice City RC helicoptter mission (however, i don’t remember any difficulties with it), “follow the damn train, CJ” (i don’t have any words which isn’t swearing for this one), that one where you need to jump into plane’s hatch riding a bike, quite a list, and that’s only two games.
So i dropped the game.
