I may just be out of touch with MLP (fell out of watching the show after s5 I think) but isn’t the only example of batponies we’ve seen in canon from when Luna rode in on a chariot pulled by a pair of them for Nightmare Night?
In a way. Batlinburg is a totally different area from Cloudsdale. On the other hand though, bat ponies are at best severely downplayed in the canon MLP universe
