Actually, if you listen to the commentary track on the EG3 BluRay, when they get to this scene they say something like “Oh, what could that mean? Is it spoilers?”, “It can’t be spoilers for something coming up, can it?”, “We’ve said too much!”
So they knew when recording the commentary track it would come out before.
Because they delayed the second half of the season. Otherwise this would have come out shortly after the finale. It wasn’t originally intended to be a spoiler but was always intended to be shared continuity.
No, EG3 was released before the finale intentionally. The reason I presume was a business one, meaning none of us will understand it. XD

The synopsis mentions time. A leak from Netflix occured yesterday.
But from what we know about the season finale, Twilight seems to be referring to the finale. As far as I know. I’m not looking at the synopses for the future episodes.
Everything I’ve seen on Twitter between the director of MLP:FIM and Friendship Games seems to suggest that there will be no such spoiler. I’ll honestly be surprised if we see it addressed at all.
