Or when a studio screws up like they did with Angel. Which was actually doing very well. But due to miscommunication, ended up being ended after season 5. The people in charge had wanted several more season of it because of how well it was doing. But it ended up being too late to restart the show because the stars had already made commitments to other projects.

I hate when the studio does that to a show. I remember when they told the Babylon 5 people that the show was ending after season 4. So they ended up tying all the plot points up by the end of that season. Then all of a sudden they wanted a season 5. Well, f**I. They had to quickly take everything they cut out when they were wrapping it up (Stuff that wasn’t really important) and stretch those out to make a fifth season.

I miss the show so much

Stargate SG-1 should have ended after season 8 and I say this as a fairly hardcore Stargate fan. There was a huge quality drop in seasons 9 and 10, because they had to hastily create a completely new storyline out of thin air after season 8 wrapped up almost everything in the show. The quality drop and the change of tone between seasons 8 and 9 was so drastic I remember wondering if I was still watching the same show.

If G4 does well in season 9, I see no reason they couldn’t keep it while having g5 going as well. CSI had 4 different series going at the same time at one point. NCIS has 3. Star Trek had 3 going at the same time for about a year. Law & Order had 3 or 4 going.

Over all, I highly doubt that they’ll even end on 12, much less 11, they’re already plans for g5.

Because there is just too much unused potential.

I’m not in a hurry to see G5. It can wait a few years longer.

I think there is more than enough potential for at least 11 or 12 seasons without any loss of quality.

For example there are countless characters that deserve to be revisited (Babs Seed, Diamond Tiara/Silver Spoon, Lightning Dust, Rolling Thunder, Short Fuse, Suri Polomare, the Pillars, Gilda/Gabby/Greta, Coco Pommel, Autumn Blaze, Iron Will, Bright Mac and Pear Butter, Sky Stinger and Vapor Trail, Cheese Sandwich, Daring Do, Ahuizotl, Pharynx, Wind Rider, Gladmane and many others)

They can also show Scorpan, Grogar, Katrina, Zebras, Centaurs, Minotaurs, Abessinia and a whole heap of other things one day.

We still have to see the CMC Manehattan, meet other Zebras, hear more stories about AJs parents and learn more about Trixies past and her father.

Spike has yet to meet his real parents.

AND I want Rainbow to reconcile with Lightning and start a friendly rivalry with her.
