I was thinking about who I could ship with Tempest, and after thinking of Thorax, his brother, Pharynx, came up, so I thought why not.

That is hilariously in-character. I can imagine either of them delivering that line… Tempest deadpan, or Pharynx with simmering annoyance at both species of brightly colored idiots, but both competely sincere about the statement.
While I disapprove of casual sex, recovering villains are allowed a few vices, and Pharynx IS from a species that plausibly had seduction as a feeding technique up until recently.

Agreed - it’s only technically a crack ship because they’ve never met officially. But I totally think they work well together.
Still a better love story than Twilight.
