But then you are taking the cultural and etnical factors in the ecuation. You cannot make everyone to speak one single language with the same single dialect. I could not speak English with naturality the same way like a german may try to speak it. It would also be boring to hear everyone talking the same way.

That would be a perfect world, standardised dialects would be so much easier to communicate with simple translator programs.

This kind of jokes are local, and you probably don’t know what’s the background of it, so you can’t understand the joke and it would be useless to translate it.
 
Besides, no offense but, don’t get frustrated just because need to use the translator for once.  
We, the whole time need to think and speak on other language… it’s a relieve to read and speak on or main language.
 
Suggestion: don’t say the “it would be good if their was an English translation for us majority of users, not just the Spanish, but all the multilingual posts” again… because if the author don’t have intentions of translate it, it’s cleary don’t want it to be “for the mayority”  
It’s better to ask if someone can translate in the comments, (almost) always there’s someone who could do the job.

I envy them. TBH I would like my country to be so powerfull and influential than we could even stablish our own dialect as the official and most common kind of Spanish language and force the others to adapt to it as the new lingua franca that is higly needed for international relationships.

Only two English dialects, Commonwealth covers Great Britain, Australia, (not sure about Scotland, as far as I know they are same as us) New Zealand and well, any Commonwealth nation. Then there is American English (as I call lazy English) USA and Canada where they leave out letters like ‘u’ a lot, or they just shorten or abuse words because it’s easier to type. Gripes me lots but what do you expect from a country that still uses imperial measurements and defines the world as The US and all those other little countries elsewhere. (UGH, I need to lie down after that)

It´s the same with English. Any Spanish speaker could think that the texan, australian, english, scotish and canadian dialect are all the same. The spanish used in the comic is generic; you can understand it even if you are from Spain, Mexico, Guatemala, Chile, Uruguay, etc.

Close, sorry but it would be good if their was an English translation for us majority of users, not just the Spanish, but all the multilingual posts. It’s really hard when it’s an Argentinian post cause they have so many diverse regional Spanish modified dialects, Chinese and Japanese is not a lot better.

I don’t know what you think a “first world” language is, if the world’s second-most spoken native language (after Mandarin Chinese) and an official language of the United Nations doesn’t qualify. Ahora sabes como se sientes muchos europeos con los refugiados y con sus gobernantes que parecen haberles dado mas importancia a estos que a su propia gente. Ambos casos son muy similares cuando los ves en paralelo.

La verdad son unos mal agradecidos México no tiene la obligación de alimentarlos, protegerlos ni brindarles transporte y aún así lo hace a pesar de que México tiene sus propios problemas
