Hm, that is a point. I’ve… never thought about deer from IDW in such view. Maybe… because I’ve seen Aluxor’s deer earlier, than the comic. But yeah, IDW more unike, that Aluxor’s Cervyderia.

Don’t get me wrong, I like those deer too (I have quite a bit of pictures of them in my favorites gallery even). It’s just I prefer the IDW deer design wise because they look even more unique since they don’t look too much like ponies (for example they don’t have human/pony hairstyles, cutie marks, or pony shaped snouts).
 
That being said, I really love the lore behind these fan based deer and the fact that there’s about 5 different types/races of those deer. I really love and respect the creativity put into them.

Best looking deer in the fandom in my opinion. Even better than the bottom deer in this image.
