The locals had to replace burnt-out ones with whatever they could—or, to be more specific, with old incandescent light bulbs produced in Stalliongrad. They were large and shone very brightly. And they were sort of nice warmers in the absence of central heating.
 
I had decided to take a different path; thankfully, nopony paid attention to what a lone mare was doing here.
 
I had replaced the lamps in my residential part with twinkling fairy lights. The illumination they provided was poor, but lovely.”
