It’s certainly possible. Would make those sketches by that one Japanese artist that were posted here a while back even better, haha
 
And it would be a continuation of the theme of the more academically minded characters looking up to their mentor a lot (obviously Twilight looking up to Celestia is a great example of this)

She also seems to look up to Princess Twilight specifically. She calls her by that title several times.

True, but look at when Ocellus transforms into Rarity in the premiere - specifically, how exaggerated certain parts of her performance are.
 
Alternatively, the changelings in the season six finale - or Chrysalis in season two. I’m just saying they probably could’ve used more time studying the mannerisms of the ponies they were trying to imitate.
 
Or perhaps I could be saying that this is perhaps the first example of a changeling putting on a convincing performance as an established pony, rather than one of their own creation. Though now that I think about it, I do remember Thorax’s turns as Trixie and Starlight from the season six finale to be passable (at the very least).

Even before their reformation, changelings would’ve been more or less familiar with pony culture thanks to generations of imitating ponies to infiltrate their society. (I say “more or less” because “The Hearthwarming’s Club” made it pretty clear changelings only understand the outer trappings of pony traditions, not the deeper meanings behind them.)

Gotta say, genuinely impressive how much better Ocellus’s impressions have gotten (though considering what a quick study she seems to be, judging from the fact that she was leading the study group alongside Sandbar, even though she didn’t have his advantage of growing up in pony culture and so having picked up some stuff through osmosis, that’s not all that surprising)

Or better yet, give us the WHOOOLLEEE day off!!
