Just because Apple Bloom is an apple doesn’t mean she can’t eat other foods. Also if you only eat apples you will die.

You know… This is honestly a bit scary when you consider the fact that, in Jojo, Giorno killed Polpo by literally transforming a gun into a banana, and Polpo accidentally killed himself when the banana transformed back into a gun when it basically forced him to pull the trigger by transforming back. Hopefully, no one pulled that same stunt on Applebloom here.

They’re the Japanese katakana character ゴ(“go”,pronounced exactly the same as the English word “go”) and the author of Jojo, Hirohiko Araki, often draws them into panels to represent a low and unsettling rumbling for dramatic affect; this same effect was kept for the anime. In addition, other katakana characters are also used by him in the same way, so seeing Japanese characters used like this at all is probably more a reference to Jojo than anything else (I’ve yet to find exceptions but they probably exist, it’s a safe bet either way).
