She has more advanced magic than Trixie, who only has enough of her own magic for stage performing on a much smaller scale. Even with her manticore trick she didn’t teleport herself, Starlight helped her to pull off that trick successfully.
So in short, Starlight’s magic is more powerful than Trixie’s. Hardly the least bit ‘retarded’. 🙄

It’s not a sequel. The company that makes the cereal was worried that people preferred the taste of Lunar Charms so they threw out the old recipe and tried to make Celestios taste more like Lunar charms. Celestios II isn’t really at all popular with ponies who liked Celestios I.
