This is incredibly comfy.

So I’m confused… the one on here is 1300 x 1037…. apparently 1:1 is 1300 x 1036… my other one is 1300 x 1038 and if I do it again with the anamorphic set to auto it says 1299 x 1036… but to get par to say 1:1 I have to set that to none which does 1300 x 1036
 
Eh, small differences… I’m just confused how the different encodes are a pixel or two difference

And here’s 10mbps (but I did fast compression mode as the slower presets soften the image more, which is disappointing… seems they are only useful for really low bitrates like around 1mbps.. I blame the dithering on the gif causing that

The one on here is 13mbps, but they are both VP9… so…
 
So if you really want to compare, look at the tree near the left of the scene… the glowing of the fire on the tree doesn’t look nearly as good… even at 1.5mbps it is a LOT better

Oh, it’s webm compatible.. I just didn’t enable the webm flag  
Which all I have to do is put it in mkvtoolnix and check the webm part and boom.. now it’s a webm

So… I was able to recompress the original gif down to about 900kb for at least around the same, if not better quality than the video here which is about 11.5mb… and I even downscaled the gif down to the resolution of the video on derpibooru

Mine might be SLIGHTLY lower quality but the difference is about a 1:13 ratio in file size… and if I raise mine to ~1.5mbps it’d DEFINITELY be a LOT higher quality than the one on here which is about 13mbps

You would be half correct. It’s a GIF Converted to MP4 (because I forgot Derpibooru doesn’t take MP4s), then encoded into a webm. Like I said, I recommend downloading the high quality, uncompressed gif in the description.

This looks like it’s just the gif reencoded… eh….  
not really good to do that  
I mean, I see a ton of dithering and banding on a pretty decent quality webm encode.. soooooo… yeah, it’s just gif reencoded
