Merry Christmas in August, everypony! The Artist Training Grounds are officially over, which means its time for me to catch back up on my Season 8 Homework Assignments! Today’s comic is based on The Hearth’s Warming Club. Despite kinda being an episode that sorta requires you to forget that teleportation is a thing, this was a truly awesome and beautiful episode! We get to learn a LOT about the students and their various cultures, as well as a clear message about different holidays and celebrations and the acknowledgement and appreciation of such. Plus it’s just a neat excuse for character study in a limited setting; John Hughes would be proud.
 
I dunno, I guess I still have windigos on the brain from my ATG comics, but it’s a Hearth’s Warming episode, so it’s appropriate. I’m also REALLY glad that the true culprit in the episode was indeed one of the students and not something more nefarious such as depicted in this comic; it made the episode MUCH more enjoyable IMO. I just wanted to point out the teleportation possibility and take things to the ridiculous with a fabricated theory from one of the students during their interrogation.
