oh, they’re totally references. Mod Moltare was the lead designer for ports, and is also a brony. That, and I’ve personally spoken to him about it.
Is this a very very subtle reference of the 4Chan IWTCIRD crowd or is it just me?
Of course, the way he also confirmed it probably didn’t make things better. But there was a post made that still more-or-less confirmed it to be a lot of pony jokes.
And so far as I hear you can’t physically go to these islands. You can only send ships out to raid them, or something.
Do we have purists in our fanfom? I guess we do. I hope they’re not like “Tolkien purists”.
Honestly, I didn’t even know that Runescape still exists.
Actually, there’s another island (not one of the reference islands) that looks like O`ahu, one that looks like Maui and another that looks like New Zealand.
I would not be surprised if all these islands were based off of real islands.

its from runescape yes but the full map does not have these islands and i can get no info but on the main site guides there is a list of a fuck ton of small islands in game…how…when..where..
