To mostly copy-paste my response to what was probably this same Background Pony on another image:
That is hilariously in-character for these two (For Shining Armor… Not so much, but I can accept it for the sake of the joke). I can imagine either of them delivering that line… Tempest deadpan, or Pharynx with simmering annoyance at both species of brightly colored idiots, but both competely sincere about the statement.
While I disapprove of casual sex, recovering villains are allowed a few vices, and Pharynx IS from a species that plausibly had seduction as a feeding technique up until recently.
Certainly seems like it could be one of the cornerstones of a happy lifelong marriage…
While they are both young enough, my personal fanon is that some pretty brutal sparing matches to see who gets to be on top that night would also be an important way to keep their relationship strong.
