In these schools, he initially specialized in the technique of paper cuts before focusing on mosaic. He moved to Paris in 1958 and met artists who were part of the Surrealist movement.In the world of comics, Erró brought together cartoon characters and historical despots. He constantly gleans visuals in newspapers, advertising, or illustration, in order to make up his collages these include cultural samples from all the countries he visited. In this manner, comics and Chinese propaganda can and are on the same level.
tl;dr this is a guy who has his art displayed in museums around the world
so My Little Pony / Sonic the Hedgehog crossovers are SERIOUS ART now
Celestia, Twilight, and Luna originally by Sibsy: >>1777565
Sonic and Tails originally by Tracy Yardley, Jim Amash, and Jason Jensen
4 years have passed and I see Erró has also done some One Piece + Pokémon crossover art. At almost 90 and still riding on the latest pop culture waves and trends.

He’s okay with tracing things in Illustrator and just paint them over.
“It’s pop art!”
last time he painted some digimon stuff. some public gallery bought it a fortune.
Well, it’s nice to see the long-lasting Archie Sonic series get some love, at least. Especially, after it’s unfortunate recent demise…
It’s replacement IDW series looks nice, but still isn’t quite the same. (And it’s a whole new canon/storyline reboot.)
Yeah, it’s a perfect match for the cover of Archie Sonic the Hedgehog issue 178. Pop art as a genre is all about taking commercial art and recontextualizing it, but Erró has a bit of a history of crossing the line into outright plagiarism.
@firestorm
That’s where it came from actually.
I have that issue, it kinda exaggerated “enemies” on the cover honestly. After a small fight, they became buds again, of course.

Hmm. I’d read about Brian Bollard’s accusations that Erró had plagiarized him, so I’d idly wondered if this piece was really original or not. Oh well. I wonder which Sonic the Hedgehog comic Sonic and Tails’s poses come from.
That said, beware, because as you can see, he copies the art of others without permission. This Celly, Twily and Spike piece is here on DB. A little animation.
