I think EQG Megan is a strawberry-blonde, so that they could color her skin yellow.
Megan in “Rescue from Midnight Castle” might’ve been a young teen. G1 TV series Megan it’s harder to tell. I always thought she was 14-15, but some people say she’s 11 instead. Either way, G1 Megan acted more like a mini-adult than a teen or kid. All the ponies needed to turn to her for leadership and help.
She evolved.
Also I’m pretty sure that G1 Megan was a teenager, whereas EQG Megan is much younger.

Long hair in ponytail and eyelashes
Even if boys can have it too, the chance it’s a girl is increased.
Don’t forget the frills.
as if the giant bow and pink long sleeve shirt and heart on her overalls wasn’t an indicator that G1 megan was a girl

Well, lip gloss is something different
You don’t think they make lip makeup for little girls?
Probably to mimic lips and to make it feminine. It might not be intended as lipstick and just a common trope.
This. Very interesting. Now we need an image of her with G4 Tirek
BURN IT ALL DOWN
Clever reference too, I have to admit.
