True IK. I used to do that stuff for two years before I finally quit and moved onto better stuff like ahem homework and writing fanfics
Since there are two pictures with different backgrounds now, a thresholded difference image of the two could also be used to create a layer mask to remove the background. Looks like some shading was added in this edit though, which could make that more difficult.
