And here we have my three headcanon levels of augmentation; necessary, where it replaced an injured limb or organ, supportive, where it helps you in your work though you could do without it (Applejack’s legs) and vain, where it simply looks good.

It’s a good thing that Applejack has friends in high places, or else she would never have been able to afford those augmented legs and spine. Without them she would have grown old before her time due to the hard, physical work she goes through every day. Rarity really is a friend indeed.

Not too sure about how Rarity turned out, but I’m pretty happy about Applejack’s legs so who cares >w<
