to sum it up, it’s making fun of the California school of Art where most american cartoon creators are from, and most of them having an extremely similar style of animation that consists of bean shaped heads and mostly round, soft features. That style has become very prevalent in western cartoons lately and people are starting to really make fun of it now for various reasons, most recently spurred on by a thundercats reboot
Who is CalArts and what’s the drama about it? Genuinely ignorant about the whole thing and curious. Though if it’s a big long thing that’d be a pain to explain that’s fine but if it’s okay with anyone here a quick summation would be nice, thanks in advance.
