Well, Nick Confalone, the writer of Forgotten Friendship, was right. Because when Forgotten friendship aired four months after the movie, it chronologically took place prior to the movie because we can the same color of the throne room from seasons one to seven before it was repainted and added a second throne for Princess Luna to sit from the movie to onwards. The movie truly was a bridge between Forgotten Friendship and season 8

I was trying to pick something generally agreed on and keep things light. If I wanted to pick characters that were genuinely the biggest problems for The Movie, I’d have started with the Storm King.
That said:
A: Do you seriously think it’s fair to criticize “Forgotten Friendship” for not having The Movie’s budget to work with?
B: Do you honestly feel that Grubber added anything to The Movie?
Again, he barely has any impact on the film, there are no scenes dedicated primarily to his antics, unlike some of the more obnoxious comic reliefs in animation.

Yes, yes, the hour-long TV special had a smaller budget than the major motion picture. On the other hand, “Forgotten Friendship” didn’t have Grubber. :P

While images might be the main attraction of the site, Derpibooru has a fairly active forum scene as well. Moreover, you could have posted something more creative (like your own original work) instead of a meme to illustrate your opinions.
I certainly won’t deny that there are fanboys out there who refuse to accept any criticisms of the film, but that’s not the point here. I don’t mind you disliking the film; I actually have my own criticisms with it. But expressing that sentiment with a meme is only going set people off; these kinds of things always do. Also, where did you get those figures? There’s no way the film cost 50 million (if it did, then there’s some serious embezzlement going on). All the leaked documents thus far have suggested that the budget was around 25 million. This means the movie was a success number-wise and made a fairly decent amount of profit (and this isn’t even factoring in the toy and DVD/Blu-ray/Digital sales).
Again, you’re strawmanning. I have no problems with your opinion; as I said above, I too believe the movie is flawed in certain regards. What I do find concerning, though, is the manner in which you are expressing this opinion.

This is why I refused to discuss about the movie with any fans because it’s this big “hyped” event everyone waiting for, express your negative opinions or prefer any MLP installment else over it is insulting to them. The movie is overrated (among the fans, anyway). And we know how the movie actually did box office wise and not even closed to being critically acclaimed;P

For the record, Forgotten Friendship is a special
movienot even passed the 1-hour mark like the other EG movies and it’s part of the ‘Digital Series’.IDK if it’s just me but since there’s Sci-Twi, Sunset and Starlight we see them much often then mane 5
Seriously, we’ve been waiting seven years for a proper MLP movie, and it turns out the Equestria Girls movies as a whole are better.
I didn’t mean to offend you (I even agree with your opinion), it just that if you show your opinion in this way it will trigger a lot of people who love the movie and like you said in the description will go into an awry drama.
