Mr. King has a bit of a thing when it comes to sex in his stories. If there is any, it’ll come in one of three flavors:
 
A) Pure and innocent, with the characters in this category usually being pretty young too.
 
B) Nostalgic, with an older character reminiscing about the crazy sex they’ve had in the past.
 
c) Downright disturbing and incredibly rape-y. If there’s an antagonist involved, no matter how important or minuscule their role is, they’ll almost always fall into this category. However, even the protagonists can end up here, for reasons I’m sure only Mr. King himself could ever explain.
 
With all that said, I’d recommend taking a look at the thing that killed Randall Flagg in the final Dark Tower book. Specifically, how it came into creation. Mordred Deschain has two mommies and two daddies, all biological to some degree and only half of them consenting in his creation.
 
It’s also kind of interesting in that, given what Mordred appears to be, some crazy spider-monster capable of morphing into a human form, a lot of fan theory seems to speculate that both he and the Crimson King may in fact be related to Pennywise somehow.
 
So, yeah, sex in a Stephen King novel can get a little… uh… odd.
