in that cadance is never frightened of tempest.
Comixology has this on July 4th. (Weds). It might ship early due to the holiday.
Supposed to be released this Saturday. So last day of June.
But she did not mean Cadence but Celestia and I think she would have acted with Cadence in a way other than the quarrying
Probably ‘cause it’s in the Generals discussion.
Surprisingly, the Sonic fans get along very well there, and we’ve had very little drama there.
Didn’t know there was one, so yeah.
Wouldn’t the Sonic thread be more appropriate? The Sanik-haters might get triggered if we bring up Sanik there.
This is far off-topic.
From what I’ve heard, IDW does have interest about bringing the FF into the book, but not right now.
Can’t say anything about the the reprints though, It would cool to have the missing issues reprinted by them, but I don’t see it happening.
I don’t know if it’s entirely Archie’s fault as it could’ve been Capcom’s/Sega’s, as well, as they could pull the license from those series anytime they want.
Considering, IDW is able to reprint Archie’s old “TMNT Adventures” comics, I’m curious if they’ll be able to reprint the old Archie Sonic comics, as they now have the Sonic license.
Might be kinda harder, as Sega has to be cool with it, (and the legal incidents with former controversial Archie Sonic writer Ken “do not steal” Penders a few years ago, might make them too paranoid to do that) and considering Sega stated they wanted to take the new IDW comic series in a “different direction,” they probably want to pretend the old Archie canon/characters/ect. don’t exist… (Though, I’m just speculating, I don’t know that for sure, so don’t quote me on that.)

You know what’s even sadder about it ? Not even the Sonic comics themselves. Freaking Megaman got a eternal hiatus from at least 3 years now, just we things were starting to get better, right at the beginning of the Megaman 4 adaption.
We’re never getting that book back, thanks to Archie
Yeah, I heard many upcoming books, and reprint collection books were cancelled too unfortunately.
I’m even going to miss the retro Sonic Archives, Sonic Selects, ect. book collections…
Yeah, that must be a bummer. That and the already finished sketches for the upcoming arcs of Sonic Universe/The main book.
I heard that Tracey posted some of the sketches on his tweeter, at least.
I’m sad/angry that due to the cancellation of both series, that they didn’t get a chance to release the third & final compilation reprint book of “World’s Unite” (the second/most recent Sonic & Megaman crossover arc) as I only have the first 2 (which has the first 8 issues) it was really good, (better then the first crossover, which was quite good too) but now I’ll never see how it ends…

You really should though, it’s pretty good, you should also checkout the Crossovers (Worlds Collide & Worlds Unite), they’re fucking awesome. But of course, the Megaman comics made by Archie are by far the best adaption from games to comic format that I’ve ever seen.
Any sane fan does.
But he’s acting like this is some completely new idea Sega pulled out of it’s nethers.
Sega’s probably just going to have to consider some games alternative canons to make them make sense. Of course, the Super Mario, Zelda, ect. storylines/canons don’t always make sense either. (Like try fitting the “Super Mario RPG,” “Paper Mario,” and “Mario & Luigi” games all into one single canon.)
Yeah, in some ways it was probably a bit more balanced then the old canon, but I still kinda prefer the pre-reboot Archie series, as it had more lore.
Is that one of the reasons why a lot of fans hate Sega’s attempts at creating lore in Sonic from SA1 to today? Because of Iisuka’s explanations? This sadly explains a lot.
Its a shame I never looked into the post-reboot Archie Sonic continuity because I’ve been hearing that its the most balanced of all Sonic continuities.
I just considered the games, Sonic X, Sonic SatA.M., Archie Sonic, Fleetway Sonic, AoStH, Sonic Underground, ect. different canons.
@Siarnaq (Model P)
She doesn’t really remind me of Sally much personally.
You don’t think they took a few ideas from Sonic X, do you?
That’s sorta been a thing since Sonic X though?
I share the same feeling, Tangle’s design is actully really cool, and even the she strikes me as a Sally rip-off, I still interested in the comics. I’m also surprised to see the oficial Sonic Twitter Account promote her on the Internacional Women’s Day. That got me by surprise.
