And now you come of to me as bordelinely trying to demonizing me - you are aware people who I debated with, wrote arguments I didn’t agree with, and simply made a counterargument.
 
Did you consider that maybe my comments were long, as there was a lot to write about? As the topic was exhaustive?
 
And about “tearing someone else’s opinion to shreds just to defend a ship you like” - something that can be described as such, done once, maybe a few times, and the person I did so arguably recently, actually pretty much agreed in end they were using fallacious logic.
 
But I think you accuse me of wider usage of it, but that’s only your opinion.
 
Sorry, but you start to seem to me claiming that I should stay completely silent when people criticize a ship I like, even when they write arguments I disagree strongly with, or consider outright false. Or even when they (arguably) demonize Sci-Twi x Sunset shippers in general? As you know, a group that includes me?

This is only tagged “Shipping Fuel”. The Alias of it is “Possible Shipping”. It’s a scene that can be interpreted as looking shippy.
 
Which I think this counts.
 
Again, I saw people tag so the screenshots of Sunburst and Starlight, as well as of Flash and Sunset, despite neither interactions being proven to be romantic in canon.
 
And I did nowhere here write this screenshot is 100% surely romantic, only that looks so (arguably).
 
So please, check what tags mean, how they are used, and what people actually wrote, before being so judgmental of people.

Well, the majority of those who voted anyway. I’d wager the view count is significantly higher than the vote count. For instance, even though I’m not a fan of shipping, I certainly didn’t feel any need to downvote this image.
 

 
You are more than welcome to defend your opinion. However, there is such a thing as going too far. I’ve seen you write literally walls of text after walls of text tearing someone else’s opinion to shreds just to defend a ship you like. I know you say you respect the opinion of others, and I believe you, but behavior like that only makes others think you don’t. Not to mention that also creates a pretty unhealthy environment for everyone.
 

 
Do you even understand how free speech works? You can say whatever you want, but your words are not exempted from criticisms by others. Free speech is not exclusive to you.
 

 
I am not trying to defend Chuy Ryu (believe me when I say I’ve had more than my fair share of butting heads with him) or pin all the blame on you. I agree with you that Chuy Ryu’s behavior here is unnecessary. I was merely pointing out that there is a bit of truth to what he is saying, even if he is being admittedly rather tactless.

That’s exactly what I have been doing. As someone who has no interest in shipping, I almost never engage the shipping side of this fandom and usually don’t even give it so much as a second thought. The only reason I felt inclined to leave a comment here is because it appeared as if OP was insinuating this shot was inherently romantic in nature didn’t have a platonic context. Even then, all I wrote was one sarcastic, casual passing comment literally only one sentence long. It’s not like I’m continually posting walls of text deprecating someone else’s opinion (a la the OP) or pointless and provocative memes (a la Chuy Ryu).

Well, this is a YMMV topic whenever Sci-Twi and Sunset are cuddling, or not. But a lot, maybe even majority of people who saw this picture (seeing the 47 upvotes and even other comments under this picture), think they are cuddling.
 
And I’m not claiming it’s definitelly romantic, just that it can be seen as such. Hence the “shipping fuel” tag.
 
I respect your opinion, but I’m not sure if Chuy is exactly respecting the opinion of others.
 
And what is bad about defending a ship I like? And I thinking it has some basis? I saw people doing as much for Sunset x Flash or Sci-Twi x Flash, or Sunburst x Starlight (evenclaiming absurdly the Uncommon Bond confirms them having a romantic bond, Starlight being romantically jealous of Sunburst or even Starlight being a Yandere for Sunburst, even though such motives, would go against the foundations of the show, and damage Starlight’s characterisation, seeing just how much she owes to Twilight and Trixie, like to Twilight she even meet Sunburst again).
 
So I think I have right to state reasons why I think the pairing I like would work, and defend it, and I don’t think you have right to judge me over it. Especially that I think other who I discussed with, behaved worse, for example with one essentially admitting the logic they were using being fallacious, and another user outright using homophobic arguments.
 
And about the above, I didn’t saw (sorry if it isn’t the case) you, or especially Chuy Ryu critiquing people for being as defensive, or even claiming the I mentioned pairings are canon (which this pic never claimed), or suggested as such. Even Chuy Ryu not doing it with DisciShy shippers, despite claiming he hates Discoshy.
 
And as I mentioned, Chuy the third time under this pic tries to (seemingly) provoke an arguments, and even in the recent past, was visibly against Sci-Twi x Sunset pictures, or even comments, aside from this pic.
 
Do you really think your defence of them holds ground? Especially that it is basically based on trying to shift the blame on me, at least in part. (or that is at least how I see it).

They’re certainly close alright, but I don’t know if I’d call that cuddling. All of this could still easily apply to a pair of platonic friends.
 
I’m not criticizing the image itself–i’m criticizing your interpretation of it. I have just as much as right to that as you have to claiming this is definitely romantic.
 
I’ll admit Chuy Ryu isn’t really helping matters, but he does still bring up a valid point. You are going to quite the length to defend and prove the existence of the ships you support, both in this thread and in others.

But as you post against it, again I really don’t think those are just my subjective observations, and you really have some sort grudge against Sci-Twi x Sunset and/or it’s shippers, and especially this submission (Which was just tagged shipping fuel from the start! As I mention again). I mean it’s you’re third, unrelated post against it.
 
Yes, the joke is funny, but it’s less so now, because how you did such stuff twice before.
 
Not to mentioned, isn’t “hounding” a ship and shipper kinda against the rules? I saw users being reprimanded by mods for doing it, or even punished. To be clear, I’m not threatening you Chuy Ryu, just saying the obvious. Especially that mods were not exactly happy after the last weeks shipping and anti-shipping discussions and pics.

Well, the thing is they arent only in the same photo - Si-Twi and Sunset are cuddling on the photo, with page on the right having another photo with a lot of hearts.
 
And this is just tagged shipping fuel from the start - I don’t know why some poeple have such a need to try to “critize” it.

Because two people in the same photo can’t just be friends and obviously must be in love with each other. /s

This isn’t about Timber x Sci-Twi being canon, just that the scene looks at least somewhat shippy. Hence the “shipping fuel” tag.
 
Many people also think Sci-Twi and Sunset have chemistry (and better chemistry than Timber and Sci-Twi, which at least in Legend of Everfree, were it arguably felt particulary forced) that could be easily seen as romantic, and this scene (ie them cuddling, eyes closed on the photo, on the page on the right a phoot full of hearts.). At the very least, the writers are teasing the fans, as it seems improbable this an accident. And this is faar from the only such example with these two.
 
Also, not all couples, especially first last for ever (in fact, the first romantic partner, is rarelly “the” romantic partner), espcially that hsbro did at least arguably break the Twiliht x Flash romance in Legend of Everfree. So Sci-Twi x Sunset fans have hope XD Maybe it’s not thaaat probable, but one can allways have faith XD

I don’t know why some people think this ship is canon since we know Twilight is with Timber.
