Another collab swoot, this time with my dude @dstears who is someone I’ve been a secret art admirer of for a long time now. Glad we could make this happen.
 
I made some bigger changes to the pose on this sketch just because I felt like they were positives, but I think that that kind of overpowered it with too much bobdude flavor. Though, I think you might be surprised by how many lines are actually just straight up traces of dstear’s. Back mane, ear, muzzle, cheek, 3 of the legs, the umbrella, all of em are line for line dstears. Come to think of it, the only things I really changed line wise were the far rear leg, spine, and tail positioning… How come this feels so bobdude to me? I suppose I probably used transform/warp on those lines more than I realized, but I also think we have super similar styles when it comes to proportion and such. If this were just purple lines I suppose it’d look pretty darn dstears after all. Bah, I gotta be more careful.
 
Anyways, I’m rambling. Dstears makes fantastic art and if you weren’t checking them out before, you really really should be. They draw Sweetie Belle more than once every few months even! Apple Bloom too!
 
Thanks again for the sketch(es) Dstears, I hope you finish up those other 3 Sweeties cause I’m sure the people want to see them cleaned up, and by the people I mean me.
