I honestly wish there was more to this comic. Like, will Cadence ever turn back to normal? Will Flurry be rescued by the Changelings? And what would Chrysalis’ punishment be once she’s figured out?

Indeed, those two epilogues radically change the tone. And that might be the problem some people have with it (that and maybe also the arguably overused flanderization of Shining Armor as a “goddamn moron”).

And, yeah, I’d agree with the BP that I’d call this a comedic story. Not even black comedy comedic. It’s all about the presentation. If it had been kept to the initial 5 pages it would have been a grimdark tale, no question about it. But with the image above of Flurry getting pampered by the Changelings and then this page with the oblivious husband, the tone of the entire comic changes, and now it reads like a sitcom plot.
 
Any chance of actually getting romantic with Shining is going to be conveniently interrupted by a doorbell or royal duties. Every time Cadance gets a chance to reveal who she really is something will happen to prevent it. I can almost hear the laughtrack now.
 
It’s like if you were reading Cupcakes, and just as Pinkie is about to hurt Rainbow she reveals the whole thing was just a prank. Now you know Pinkie is just messing around, which takes all the horror out of it for you if you come back to it.

Really? Flurry Heart being abducted by changelings in front of her mother’s eyes and Cadance being neutralized and concealed under the infant form of her daughter by her evil nemesis, who’s now back to leeching off the love from her husband (who’s none the wiser) with the added perk of posing as the rightful ruler of the Crystal Empire is meant to be comedic? Bruh…

I did read the previous parts. It doesn’t change my opinion. People are acting like Shining is actually stupid rather than it just being comedic obliviousness.

It’s like that image where Chrysalis is wearing a paper mask and Shining can’t tell the difference. It’s not meant to be a dramatic piece with lots of tension. It’s meant for a chuckle.

Spoiler: skitter may not be taking this comic any further, because there’s too many directions it can go in from here and he doesn’t know which way he wants to take it. at least in this state its open-ended and open to interpretation for viewers.

I was gonna say she needs to write more words, but the comments have even caught on more - it’d be mind-boggling if she could write and spell at this age, especially since she can’t even speak. Even her artistic skills are way, way mature.
 
Shining is carrying the idiot ball even harder than ponies in the show usually do, and that’s saying something!

The only reason people tolerate plot holes in fetish stuff more is because they’re literally about pony plotholes there’s less of it so there’s less competition of higher quality stuff.
