I used to have a challenge on Mario World. (It’s not actually that hard to achieve).
 
1 life.
 
Complete the game from ‘The Princess is missing” screen, to the heading home screen.
 
Don’t do any switch palaces.
 
You have 1/2 an hour.
 
Levels needed:-  
Head right, go through the first castle.  
Get the hidden exit on the second section that takes you in to the lake.  
Get the hidden exit from the lake to get to the secret ghost house.  
Defeat the Big Boo there to get to star road.
 
Do star road to get to the warp to Bowser’s castle.
 
Enter the castle through the back door and defeat King Koopa.
 
If I were to rate this on difficulty I’d say around 6 out of 10. Tough (ish), but not too hard.

Must be a PAL Super Nintendo.
