I know the plot of this upcoming special and trust me, you couldn’t be more wrong. This is better than any of the specials we’ve had so far by a mile. I’d say it’s the best thing I’ve seen come from EqG since Rainbow Rocks and it may in fact even surpass it. But of course, if you hate Sunset Shimmer and everything EqG out of principle, then you probably won’t have much to gain from this, either.

This is as canon as flashback of an Aplebloom dream inside a bad Starlight’s alternate universe. It means nothing to Equestria it means little to human-land. It’s just another piece of boring pony plot that looks interesting at first but then you watch it and get nothing from it aside some good art pics as always.

you know guys there are hundreds of franchises with different stories that never interact with each other but are still canon take for example Star Wars I will use a Canon event that is NEVER talked about in the movies or shows and that’s the Great Galactic War between the Republic and The Sith Empire barely anyone in either the shows or the movies talks about it but it is still canon and just like mlp with the dazzlings’ appearence in the show and Flash Sentry’s cameo, all we get are references or larger but still small appearences by objects that existed during that time period to the Great Galactic War in the movies and shows (like the darksaber or Darth Vader Mentioning the Sith Empire) and all it took to confirm that it was canon was the creators just saying it was canon just like with EG/MLP’s staff saying EG is canon. Honestly I can’t believe this is a debate when the creators flatout said that EG is canon.

The Dazzlings were exclusive EG characters and now appeared in S7 Finale.  
The writers don’t want to overlap two properties too much to make them self-contained.
