mrwolfthepilot asked:i just found out that you helped to make the La da dee Pony music video , i just want to thank you , you help make one of the most beautiful things i have seen on youtube , that video is hellla meaninful to me, thank you thank you very muchHearing you say that is literally a dream come true for me
And this is where I back up slowly…
…y’know, when my friend died suddenly a few years back, it was a fellow ponyfan that drove four hours from home just to spend an afternoon with me. When I go to conventions, I always encounter the friendliest, kindest people. When I was having the worst year of my life last year, literally dozens of fellow pony fans came together to wish me a happy birthday. Even just this year, I’ve had so many people, just out of the blue, tell me how happy my dorky pony art has made them. And while I’ve given up on myself, my pony friends never did.
I understand that sometimes it can feel like there’s not a lot of love left. Sometimes you just have one bad experience after another. Sometimes there’s just nothing happy in the news. But it’s still there. It’s all still there. And if you can’t see it… well, I say the best way to lure all that hidden kindness out is to put out a lil’ of your own. Kindness attracts kindness, don’tcha know. As the artist of this picture, I say this is not sad in retrospect. It’s so very encouraging. This, this right here, is why I still draw. Because, despite all my shortcomings as an artist, I can still make people happy in some small way. And in retrospect, that’s a pretty cool thing I think.
It means people do not follow this advice, those part of this fandom anyways despite it being the main deal of “love and tolerate”
And no one listened X.x
