Ok. Square. Buddy. We need to talk. Aerith? WAS NOT A GENERIC WAIFY PURE GIRL WITH NO SINS. You just THOUGHT she was when you forgot the game you made! Aerith was a streetwise, genre savvy badass who happened to be really nice at her heart; she was NOT some ingenue pretty girl type. So if Rinoa and Yuna are based on Aerith, as they are, WHY DO THEY LACK HER TRAITS?
